NJ TRANSCAER(R) 2017 Training Tour: September 29 - October 13, 2017

TRANSCAER® (Transportation Community Awareness and Emergency Response) Training Tours will be hosting several Free Hazardous Materials Transportation Emergency Response Training Sessions in New Jersey from September 29th to October 13th.  Tour stops include Logan Township, and Newark, NJ. This tour is sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company who has teamed with DANA Transport, Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway, SMS Rail Lines, Benjamin Moore, Crestwood, Conrail, CSX and NS Railroads, Kuehne Company, Energy Transfer, The Chlorine Institute, and many other local supporting agencies & volunteers.

TRANSCAER® is dedicated to educating emergency responders and their communities and includes training cars from the Firefighters Education and Training Foundation. The module-based training curriculum is designed to meet the needs of various stakeholder / groups and is free to all participants.  Community leaders and governmental agencies are invited and encouraged to attend to learn how they can elevate their assistance and communication to the community. Instructors are industry subject matter experts. Classes are limited, so register early! Click on dates below to register for the training session that best fits your schedule. NJ Stops: (One) 6hour training session each day that includes both hands on and classroom modules: Rail Car Anatomy, Tank Truck Emergencies, Flammable Gas Incidents, Rail Car Capping Kits “C & Midland”, Leak Mitigation, and Chlorine Capping Kits “A & B.” (Lunch Provided)
