Ed Waters joined the Chemistry Council of New Jersey in 2007.
Ed Waters has more than 20 years’ experience working with both the Legislative and Executive Branches of New Jersey government.
Prior to working in government affairs, Mr. Waters gained 8 years of experience working with both the Legislative and Executive Branches of New Jersey Government. Ed came to the Chemistry Council of New Jersey from the 8th Legislative District offices of Senator Martha Bark and Assemblymen Francis Bodine and Larry Chatzidakis, where he served as legislative director. In that role he helped craft and implement the 8th District legislative agenda and advised the Senator and the Assemblymen on issues and legislation. Prior to working in the 8th Legislative District Office, Ed worked in the Senate Majority Office under Senate Presidents Donald DiFrancesco and John Bennett, where he served as a deputy director. Mr. Waters also worked in the Senate Minority Office under Senate Minority Leader Leonard Lance. Ed started his career in state government as legislative liaison for the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth Commission.
Mr. Waters has also served in several municipal and county government appointed positions. He is currently the chairman of the Evesham Township Municipal Utilities Authority, where he has served as a commissioner for more than 10 years. Ed has been a member of both the Evesham Township Zoning and Planning Boards. Mr. Waters previously served as a board member for the Burlington County Institute of Technology Board of Education. Outside of government, Ed serves on the Marlton Youth Soccer Committee as their treasurer.
